Distribution in India: Manipur (Loktak Lake), Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh (Etawah), and West Bengal (Kolkata).

Global distribution: Widely distributed in Australian, Afrotropical, Neotropical, Nearctic, and Oriental regions.
