Distribution in India: Arunachal Pradesh (Rotung), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Andaman Islands), Assam (Sadiya), Bihar, Manipur (Loktak Lake), Meghalaya, Sikkim (Jorethang, Rangli), Uttarakhand (Haridwar, Rudraprayag, Almorah), Uttar Pradesh (Gorakhpur), and West Bengal (Darjeeling, Kolkata).

Global distribution: Australia, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia (Celebe), Jamaica, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, South Africa, Palau Island, Vietnam, and United States of America (Hawaiian Islands).
