Distribution in India: Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam (Dibrugarh, Kaziranga), Bihar, Goa (Margao), Meghalaya (West Garo Hills), Rajasthan (Jodhpur, Kailana Lake, Bharatpur, Keoladeo National Park ), Sikkim (Mangan, Ranipool), Uttarakhand (Bageshwar), Uttar Pradesh (Rampur, Mirzapur, Fatehpur Sikiri), and Tamil Nadu.

Global distribution: Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mascarene Islands, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and Vietnam.
