Distribution in India: Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Great Nicobar Island), Himachal Pradesh (Kangra), Kerala, Meghalaya ( West Khasi Hills ), Manipur (Loktak Lake, Imphal, Bishnupur, Senapati), Odisha, Uttarakhand (Bageshwar), Uttar Pradesh (Sandi Bird Sanctuary), and West Bengal (Darjeeling, Kolkata).

Global distribution: Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, and Vietnam.
