Hosts. Ranunculaceae : Aquilegia brevistyla Hook. ( Sehgal 1971) , A. canadensis L. ( Spencer 1969), A. * vulgaris L.
Leaf mine. ( Fig. 176 View FIGURES 171–179 ) A large greenish blotch, with frass scattered throughout in fine black grains ( Spencer & Steyskal 1986).
Puparium. Reddish-brown, deeply segmented; formed outside the mine ( Spencer 1969).
Distribution. USA: *MA, MD ( Scheffer et al. 2007), NY, *NC, PA; Canada: AB, BC ( Frick 1959), MB, ON, YT ( Spencer 1969, Sehgal 1971).
