Hylaeus (Paraprosopis) styriacus Förster, 1871 View in CoL
Hylaeus styriacus Förster, 1871: 1062 View in CoL , ♀ (type locality: Austria: Graz). Syntypes in MNHN (?).
Material examined. Altaiskiy Territory: 1 ♂, Biisk, 6.VII.2007, SAB ( ZISP).
Distribution in Siberia. *Altaiskiy Territory.
General distribution. Previously known from France to Iran, north to Central Germany (Brandenburg).
Remarks. Only a single male was collected, whose identity is however clear. The hitherto most easterly locality known to us was in Iran (Ardabil, 36º40'N 48º48'E, 1900 m), but the species has also been found in Armenia (Erevan, 1200 m), Azerbaijan ( Aliev 1986), Turkey (Hakkari, 37°25'N 44°13'E, 1650 m) and Russia (Bashkiria, Ufa). Therefore the new discovery is not necessarily surprising.
