Description of Croceibacter atlanticus IMCC View in CoL 12433
Cells are Gramstainingnegative, nonflagellated and rodshaped (2.6 μm long, 0.8 μm wide). Colonies are circular, convex, smooth and yellowcolored after 3 days of incubation on MA at 15°C. Negative reactions are obtained for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase and β -galactosidase in API 20NE. Does not utilize D glucose, L arabinose, D mannose, D mannitol, N acetylglucosamine, D maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain IMCC12433 (= NIBRBA 0000114868) was isolated from a sea water sample, East sea, Sokcho, Korea.
