Description of Nonlabens xylanidelens HMF2264
Cells are Gramstainingnegative, nonflagellated and rodshaped (1.3 μm long, 0.5 μm wide). Colonies are circular, entire, convex and orangecolored after 3 days of incubation on MA at 25°C. Negative reactions are obtained for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease and β -galactosidase in API 20NE. Does not utilize D glucose, L arabinose, D mannose, D mannitol, N acetylglucosamine, D maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain HMF2264 (= NIBRBA0000114993) was isolated from a freshwater sample, Yongin, Korea.
