Material in revised collection: Report of this species “Tetele, 12.08.1973 (1 ex., leg. V.Pūtele)” ( Pūtele 1974) was misidentified and relate to C. pusillus Fabricius, 1777 .
Host plants: Salix , Quercus, Rosa (Lopatin, Nesterova 2005).
General distribution: Europe (excl. N), Caucasus, Sayans, Kazakhstan.
Note: Probably, other report of this species by V. Pūtele ( Pūtele 1984) from Slītere National Park were based also on misidentification. Occurrence of this species in Latvian fauna is doubtful, therefore it is excluded from the list of Latvian Coleoptera . The nearest known localities of this species are in Poland ( Warchałowski 1991; A. Warchałowski pers. comm.) and southern Belarus ( Lopatin, Nesterova 2005)
