Gymnopa nigra Meigen, 1830: 137 View in CoL . Germany.
Distribution: PA: Afghanistan, Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Egypt. Finland.
Egyptian localities: Coastal Stripr: Alexandria . Eastern Desert: Ghobbet El-Bous, Ismailiya , Port Said , Suez, Wadi Mourbik, Wadi Um Elek . Lower Nile Valley & Delta : Cairo , Giza, Shubra . Sinai: Bir Tamade, Dahab, El- Arish, Mitla, Qusayema (Mathis et al., 1993: 30), Wadi Gedeirat . Western Desert: El-Nubariya, Saqqara, Wadi El- Natroun. Upper Nile Valley : Assiout, Asswan , Luxor .
Dates of collection: October to May.
