Flata punctipennis (Distant) View in CoL , Medler, 1990: 177, new combination
Type. Lectotype 3, (not examined), designated by Medler, 1990: 177, ( BMNH); paralectotype, 1Ƥ, (not examined), China ( BMNH); 23, 1Ƥ, (not examined), N. China ( BMNH).
Color. Body and tegmina green with yellow; vertex and frons faded testaceous; margins and carinae of head brown; eyes dark brown; pronotum green with white waxy powder; mesonotum faded green; tegmina marked with many small round black spots ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ).
Morphology. Body length: 18 mm.
Head: Vertex 4.7 times wider than long; frons almost as long as wide; frontoclypeal suture shallowly convex; rostrum extending to meso-trochanter ( Figs. 7 View FIGURE 7 , 8 View FIGURE 8 ).
Thorax: Pronotum anterior margin convex; lateral margin extending lateroventrally, almost articulated with postocular eminence. Mesonotum posterior angle about 80°. Metatibia with six spines apically; basal segment of metatarsi with nine spines. Tegmina with costal margin slightly convex at base; apical margin elongate convex; sutural margin truncate; apical and sutural angles rounded; vein Cu once forked, the branches joining postclaval margin ( Fig.7 View FIGURE 7 D).
Male genitalia: Pygofer quadrangular; anterior margin truncate ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 D). Genital style triangular with a short process at dorsal apex ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 D). Anal tube in lateral view large and long, widest subapically, bent down at midlength ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 D). Phallobase tubular at base; dorsolateral lobe slender ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 E); apex each side with two processes, inner one small and zigzag, outer one long and directed cephalad ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 F); lateral emargination slightly concave ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 E); ventral lobe short, with three spine-like short processes ( Figs. 8 View FIGURE 8 E, G). Theca with one small paw-like process at base third on each lateral side ( Figs. 8 View FIGURE 8 E, H); apex bipartite, each side with two processes, anterior one as long as phallus, and heavily branched, posterior one simple and circled in dorsal view ( Figs. 8 View FIGURE 8 E, H).
