TYPE DEPOSITORY: Istituto Sperimentale per la Zoologia Agraria, Firenze, Italy. TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: Oriental Africa, on unstated substrate. NOTE: this species is known only from the original description. Despite being the type species of this speciose genus, it was not mentioned in the revision of the genus provided by Karg (1985).
