NOTE: Lindquist & Evans (1965: 52) and Farrier & Hennessey (1993: 47) considered Tropicoseius Baker & Yunker to be a junior synonym of Rhinoseius . We adopted the interpretation of Halliday et al. (1998: 2) and Naskrecki & Colwell (1998: 16), considering them to be distinct genera.
