REMARKS

This genus is present in forests and Guinean woodlands across West and Central Africa. No new specimens were recovered during our recent surveys. In West Africa potentially three species of the genus are recognized: F. pyrrhopus F. Cuvier, 1833 whose type was described from Gabon, F. substriatus de Winton, 1899 from Ghana, and F. anerythrus found in SW Benin ( Monadjem et al. 2015).
