Myiopardalis Bezzi, 1910: 10 . Type species: Carpomyia pardalina Bigot (by original designation).

Norrbom (1997) synonymized this genus under Carpomya View in CoL , and transferred the only known species of Myiopardalis ( M. pardalina ) to Carpomya View in CoL . Here I reinstate Myiopardalis as a valid genus (new status) and return pardalina to its former genus ( Myiopardalis ).
