TYPE LOCALITY: China, Yunnan, Atuntsi, 11,500 -12,500 ft GoogleMaps .

DISTRIBUTION: Recorded only from mtns of Sichuan and Yunnan, where it occurs up to 4200 m ( Corbet, 1978c).

SYNONYMS: hintoni, rubelius, rubellus.

COMMENTS: Listed as a species of Anteliomys by Hinton (1926).
