TYPE LOCALITY: Namibia, Namib Desert, Sossusvlei .

DISTRIBUTION: Namibia (Sossusvlei, Sandwich Harbour and Bobabeb, Namib Desert, and Farm Canaan near diamond region of Namibia).

COMMENTS: Subgenus Paratatera . Taxonomic history summarized by Meester et al. (1986); distribution and habitat reviewed by Griffin (1990) and Skinner and Smithers (1990).
