TYPE LOCALITY: Libya, Tripolitania Prov., Bu Ngem (Bondjem) .

DISTRIBUTION: Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya.

COMMENTS: Sometimes included in P. obesus but a separate species as pointed out by Ranck (1968) and Cockrum et al. (1977). Kowalski and Rzebik-Kowalska (1991) did not recognize this species in Algeria and discussed only P. obesus .
