TYPE LOCALITY: Sudan, Ambukol .

DISTRIBUTION: Burkina Faso, Chad, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania (see Bates, 1985, 1988).

SYNONYMS: bayeri, bodessae, iconica , loveridgei, macropus , mombasae , muansae , pothae , shoana, swaythlingi, taylori , vicina.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Taterona . Revised by Bates (1988).
