TYPE LOCALITY: Liberia, Mount Coffee .

DISTRIBUTION: Specimen records are from Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, E Nigeria, and Cameroon.

SYNONYMS: longipilosus .

COMMENTS: Morphometric and geographic contrasts with D. foxi presented by Carleton and Martinez (1991). Relationships with populations from Zaire and elsewhere now treated as D. incomtus bentleyae need to be clarified by critical systematic revision.
