TYPE SPECIES: Dacnomys miliardi Thomas, 1916 .

COMMENTS: Reviewed by Musser (1981 b). Closest phylogenetic alliance may be with Niviventer , particularly with members of the N. andersoni Division of that genus ( Musser, 1981b).
