TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, C Sulawesi, Gunung Tambusisi, 6000 ft .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from 6000 ft on Gunung Tambusisi, Sulawesi.

COMMENTS: Morphologically most like Bunomys chrysocomus , with which it is nearly sympatric (both were caught at the same elevation but in different habitats; Musser, 1991).
