TYPE LOCALITY: N Vietnam, Chapa .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

COMMENTS: Originally described as subspecies of T. cinereus , but its far greater size, pointed out by Osgood, clearly distinguishes it from the Chinese species. Still only represented by the 14 specimens "obtained by Delacour and Lowe at Chapa, all received from native collectors" ( Osgood, 1932:298).
