TYPE LOCALITY: Peru, Depto. Loreto, Balta, 300 m; 10°08'S, 17°13'W GoogleMaps .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

COMMENTS: The single known specimen was originally referred to Daptomys . Maintained as a species by Voss (1988).
