TYPE LOCALITY: Guatemala, Depto. Huehuetenango, about 7 km NW Santa Eulalia, Yaiquich, 2950 m .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

COMMENTS: Nearest specific relatives obscure; provisionally assigned to thefurvus species group (Carleton, 1989).
