TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Bahia, caatingas along the Riacho da Ressaca, between the farms Tamboril and Ilha (as clarified by Avila-Pires, 1965) .

DISTRIBUTION: SE Brazil from Ceara to Rio Grande do Sul.

COMMENTS: Locality records clarified by Pine (1980b).
