bramina Saussure, 1896b: 352 View in CoL [Embia].
India orientalis: Bombay [sic]. Unspecified number of ♂.
One slide-mounted ♂ syntype with the labels: “1 5 Bombay, Indes Or., Hi de Saussure” [handwritten on white card]; “ Embia brahmina [sic] Sss.” [handwritten on yellow paper]; “ EMBIA BRAMINA SAUSS : TYPE” [handwritten on red card]. The first two labels have holes indicating that they were originally placed on an insect pin. The slide has two cover slips: the first covers two forewings and one hind wing; the second covers the cleared but intact body of the specimen. The left front and right middle legs are lost, as is one of the wings, and part of the base of the abdomen is missing. The right front, left middle and left hind legs are detached from the specimen.
Ross (2009) considers this name to be a junior synonym of Oligotoma saundersii (Westwood, 1837) .
