TYPE LOCALITY: "Totontepec, Oaxaca " (altitude 6800 ft), Mexico .

DISTRIBUTION: NC Oaxaca ( Mexico).

COMMENTS: Reviewed by Robertson and Rickart (1975, Mammalian Species, 61). A relict species, according to Choate (1970).
