Material examined. 5 females from Sialia sialis (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Passeriformes : Turdidae ), (SM 1021), CANA- DA, Manitoba, near Carberry, 21 September 1998, coll. T.D. Galloway.
This species was originally described from the Eastern Bluebird, S. sialis , in Guatemala and subsequently was reported in North Carolina and Georgia ( USA) and in Canada ( Stoll, 1893; Reeves et al., 2007; Valim & Hernandes 2008, 2010; Carleton & Proctor 2010; Galloway et al. 2014). Valim & Hernandes (2008) provided a detailed redescription of this species.
