Remarks. This species was only previously documented from Hong Kong. The present study reveals the second distributional record of the species.
The recent emended generic diagnosis of Zeuxo stated that pleopods basis have one or two plumose setae on inner margin (Larsen 2014). However, both original description of Zeuxo zorro ( Bamber & Bird, 1997) and the present study reported no seta on inner margin of pleopod basis. This lacking of seta on inner margin of pleopod basis was, in fact, also observed for Zeuxo amiti Bamber, 2008 , Zeuxo nannioggae Bamber, 2005 , and Zeuxo westwoodiana Templeton, 1840 ( Table 3 View TABLE 3 ). Moreover, Zeuxo novaezealandiae ( Thomson, 1879) has up to five pleopods basal inner setae ( Table 3 View TABLE 3 ). We suggest that this diagnosis on setation of inner margin pleopod basis ought to be revised as “Pleopods basis without or with one plumose setae, occasionally with two to five setae.”
