Trochus Niloticus ? Linné— Mayer 1864: 61.

Discussion. Mayer (1864: 61) recorded one specimen as Trochus Niloticus ? Linné, from the locality of Ponta dos Matos. The current valid name for this species is Rochia nilotica ( Linnaeus, 1767) , which has an Indo-Pacific distribution, and therefore it is unlikely that Mayer record is conspecific.
