Holotype (female): New Guinea [without precision], Lebzelter don. (Wien, NHMW).

Description. Head robust; face oval, seamlessly merging into genae; fastigium verticis compressed triangular, tip subacute ( Fig. 2Q View FIGURE 2 ). Face, vertex, fastigium verticis, basal two segments of antennae, and pronotum finely rugose throughout. Pronotum low, with a weak, in middle interrupted transverse sulcus, anterior margin convex, posterior margin concave, angles rounded. Tegmen reduced to small lanceolate scales not reaching tip of mesonotum ( Fig. 11Y View FIGURE 11 ). Fore femur rather short, laterally compressed, with 4 to 5 spines on ventro-internal margin; fore tibia below tibial tympanum with strongly expressed angles; surface between angles rugose. Mid legs missing. Hind femur reaching or little surpassing tip of abdomen, moderately thickened at base, with five acute spines in apical area of ventro-external margin. Hind tibia with acute spines at dorso-internal and ventro-external margins, at dorso-external margin with minute spinules.

Male unknown.

Female. Subgenital plate wider than long; hind margin broadly truncated with a short concavity in middle ( Fig. 11X View FIGURE 11 ). Ovipositor elongate, little curved; ventral margin in apical area with very fine serration ( Fig. 11Z View FIGURE 11 ).

Coloration. Head and pronotum uniformly maroon; following segments dark brown with fine light apical rim. Hind legs light yellowish brown, hind knees little darkened. Spines at hind femur and hind tibiae intensely black with light tip.
