21. Stewartia villosa Merr. View in CoL ( Theaceae ) in Lingnan Sci. J. 7: 315. 1929. TYPE:— CHINA. Guangdong: Ying Tak (i.e. Yingde), 19 October 1926, W. T. Tsang & K. C. Wong 2747 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 14608) (syntypes: UC 319320 image!, A 00104889 image!).
Tsang Wai Tak and Wong Kam Chow 14608 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Stewartia villosa Merr. (Merrill, 1929). However, the collection number on the label of the syntype specimen at UC (UC 319320) is 2747, while its herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 14608. Thus, the erroneous collection number cited in the designation of type is to be corrected.
