22. Trema lanceolata Merr. View in CoL ( Ulmaceae ) in Lingnan Sci. J. 7: 302. 1929. TYPE:— CHINA. Guangdong: Yingde, 5 October 1926, W. T. Tsang & K. C. Wong 2443 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 14304) (syntype: UC 319019 image!).
Tsang Wai Tak and Wong Kam Chow 14304 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Trema lanceolata Merr. (Merrill, 1929).However,the collection number on the label of the syntype specimen at UC (UC319019) is 2443, while its herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 14304. Therefore, the erroneous collection number cited in the protologue is to be corrected.
