Tsang 379 (i.e. Lingnan University Herbarium 17128) (holotype: UC 356810 image!; isotype: A 00039282 image!, NY 00025882 image!, UC 373888 image!, UC 1346421 image!).
Tsang Wai Tak 17128 (UC) was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Dasymaschalon trichophorum Merr. (Merrill, 1928b). However, the collection number on the label of the holotype specimen is 379, while the herbarium number is Lingnan University Herbarium 17128. Thus, the erroneous collection number cited in the protologue is to be corrected.
