16. Sageretia lucida Merr. View in CoL ( Rhamnaceae ) in Lingnan Sci. J. 7: 314. 1929. TYPE:— CHINA. Guangdong: Ying Tak (i.e. Yingde), 24 November 1926, W. T. Tsang & K. C. Wong 3260 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 15121) (syntypes: UC 319815 image!, A 00051501 image!).
The name Sageretia lucida Merr. was validly published with the gathering Tsang Wai Tak and Wong Kam Chow 15121 designated as the type (Merrill, 1929). However, the collection number on the label of the syntype specimen (UC 319815) exists in UC is 3260, while its herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 15121. Therefore, the collection number cited in the protologue is to be corrected.
