Tsang 846 (i.e. Lingnan University Herbarium 16345) (holotype: UC 326307 image!; isotype: A 00035489 image!, NY 00284745 image!).
Ts’ang Wai Tak 16345 (UC) was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Helicia lobata Merr. (Merrill, 1928a). However, the collection number on the label of the holotype specimen is 846, while its herbarium number is Lingnan University Herbarium 16345. Thus, the erroneous collection number cited in the protologue is to be corrected.
