Periclimenes guarapari — De Grave, 2008:15.

Diagnosis. Rostrum relatively deep, not upturned, reaches the end of second segment of antennular peduncle, dorsal margin with 5 to 8 teeth, first tooth separated from remainder of series by considerable gap, ventral margin with 0 to 2 vestigial teeth. Scaphocerite with distolateral tooth. Carapace with antennal and hepatic teeth. Mandible without palp. First pereopods stout, not overreaching the scaphocerite, fingers equal in length to palm, cutting edges without teeth, chelae approximately equal to carps in length. Second pereopods unequal in size and length, overreaching the antennal scale. Major pereopod robust, merus and ischium subequal, ischium imperfectly divided in two articles, chela twice as long as carpus, fingers half length of palm, cutting edge of dactylus with single tooth and fixed finger with single in proximal third. Third to fifth pereopod with bifid dactyli. Abdomen with pleura of all somites rounded. Telson with 2 pairs of dorsal spines and 3 pairs of spines on posterior margin.

Distribution. Western Atlantic: Brazil (Espírito Santo) ( Figure 13 ) ( De Grave, 2008; Wirtz et al., 2009).

Material examined. None.

Ecological notes. The species is found in gorgonians ( Muricea flamma and Plexaurella grandiflora ) at depths between 10 and 17 m ( De Grave, 2008; Wirtz et al., 2009).
