The hitherto unknown female is described below. The association of the female with the males was based on their co-occurrence plus details of critical measurements of wing features etc.
Material examined. 5 males, 1 female, 2, 4, 5 & 11.iv.2015.
Female. Head as Fig. 20 View FIGURES 20–28 . Frons as Fig. 21 View FIGURES 20–28 , and with dense microsetae. Postpedicel and palp as Fig. 22 View FIGURES 20–28 . Otherwise head similar to male. Thorax as male. Abdominal tergite 5 to tip of abdomen as Fig. 23 View FIGURES 20–28 . Venter gray, and with hairs below segments 3–6. Sternite 7 to tip of abdomen as Fig. 24 View FIGURES 20–28 . Furca not evident. Dufour’s crop mechanism gradually tapered to a rounded tip behind and 0.23–0.24 mm long and 0.17 mm greatest width. Legs similar to male with front tarsus as Fig. 25 View FIGURES 20–28 , mid femur and tibia as Fig. 26 View FIGURES 20–28 and hind femur as Fig. 27 View FIGURES 20–28 . Wing ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 20–28 ) as male with length 1.70 mm, costal index 0.49, costal ratios 3.7: 2.0: 1. Costal cilia 0.14 mm long and outer axillary bristle 0.11–0.12 mm long. Otherwise it and haltere as male.
