Notes. (1) The species was tentatively placed in Dolgoma by Dubatolov & Zolotuhin (2011) and subsequently assigned to the genus Wittia by Dubatolov et al. (2012). (2) In the original description of Systropha klapperichi, Daniel (1954) did not designate a holotype therefore, according to the article 73.2 of ICZN (1999), all the specimens used by the author for description should be considered as syntypes. In order to stabilise the nomenclature, the male specimen labelled as ‘holotype’ and preserved in the ZFMK collection is hereby designated as the lectotype.
Diagnosis. The forewing length is 14.0 mm in both sexes. Kuatunittia klapperichi is externally reminiscent of F. amoena sp. n. but distinguished by its slightly smaller size, and the narrower forewing with a somewhat broader yellow costal stripe. The male genitalia of K. klapperichi can easily be distinguished from other similar species by the presence of short triangular transtillar processes, the broad lobular medial process of the valva densely edged with minute setae, and the broad and flattened lobes of the distal saccular process densely edged with minute setae. As the females of species of the subgenus Paraxenittia subgen. n. are unknown, the female genitalia of K. klapperichi were compared with the genus Fangeilema gen. n. instead (see above in the diagnosis of the latter).
Distribution. South China (Fujian, Guangdong and Zhejiang Provinces) ( Daniel 1954; Dubatolov et al. 2012). The records from Sichuan and Yunnan in Fang (2000) require clarification.
Subgenus Paraxenittia subgen. n.
https://zoobank.org/ urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:D00B6BA1-EF3E-4613-82F6-ABC78B1B0CDE
Type species: Kuatunittia (Paraxenittia) erlanga sp. n., by present designation.
Diagnosis. In the male genital capsule, Paraxenittia subgen. n. ( Figs 24–26 View Figures 23–26 ) differs from the nominate subgenus ( Fig. 23 View Figures 23–26 ) in the lack of the transtillar processes, the presence of two setose apical lobes of the juxta, the valva lacking the medial process, the smooth and narrow distal lobe of the saccular process, and the longer proximal lobe of the saccular process having a robust, nodular and densely setose tip. The phallus and vesica structures of the two subgenera display no recognisable differences. The female is unknown.
Etymology. The subgenus name is an aggregate of the Greek word ‘παράξενος’ meaning ‘strange’ and the genus-group name Wittia . The name refers to the complex genital capsule configuration. Gender is feminine.
