Material examined. Philippines. 2♂: “ N. Luzon, [Cagayan Valley region ] Nueva Vizcaya [Province], Dupax” (cMH, cRSc); 6♀: “[ Cordillera Administrative region ] Ifugao, Banaue” (cMH, cRSc) ; 1♂: “E Luzon, [ Central Luzon region ] Sierra Madre. Aurora, Disimungal” (cRSc). New record .

Redescription. Unnecessary except for the following features.

BL 16.4–17.8 mm (BW 6.2– 6.8 mm) Apterous with metepisterna clearly wider than long (ES3L/ES3 W 0.93)

Head moderately large, wide and flattened (PW/HW 1.69). Eyes small and protruding. Tempora subtransverse, short, meeting neck at almost right or slightly obtuse angle, glabrous in dorsal view. Labrum subconvex, without impressions, deeply emarginate with medial part of setae equidistant from base and apex. Neck constriction conspicuously convex forward and moderately deep; neck rugose. Head, labrum and exposed parts of mandibles with a conspicuous isodiametric microsculpture. Penultimate labial palpomere subcylindrical (almost parallelsided in lateral view), with two subequally long setae at inner margin, distinctly to strongly* dilated apically and with 4 setae near apex. Last labial palpomere with apex shorter than inner margin in females and with apex as long as inner margin in males*. Antennae long, scape subconvex at base of anterior margin, 1.30 times longer than eye tubercle, scape 1.53 times longer than eye, antennomere 3 with long and sparse erect setae* together with verticellate ones; antennomere 4 less* than two thirds as long as 3 (AR = 0.79: 0.33: 0.52).

Pronotum cordate and long (PW/PL 1.18–1.27), with lateral margins widely explanate and strongly reflexed. Pronotal basal flange thin in posterodorsal view.

Elytra with setigerous pores in intervals 3 and 5. Anterior elytral macula inside stria 9 in one female, touching* stria 9 in 8 other specimens (six females, two males).

Abdominal sterna neither crenate nor punctate along base. Protibiae with three spines at apex of posterolateral edge.

Median lobe of aedeagus with apical lamella very short and truncate in dorsal view; internal sac with a moderately large apical sclerite; parameres sparsely setulose at apex. Basal orifice of penis with a short and narrow dorsal slot.

*asterisk indicates characters that do not match Fedorenko's description of C. crebrepunctatus group (2016: 20) or his key for groups of species ( Fedorenko 2016: 3).
