Type material. Holotype: CHINA: male, ‘ China: Xizang, Yadong County, pass nr. Xiayadong Town , 27°23′48N ″, 88°50′02″E, 3000 m, 01.vii.2021, Peng, Yin, Zhang. (ƱAEdzḞƂṬdzḞşṈĀ⁂ḩ)’ ( SNUC) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 4 females, same data as holotype GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. Body reddish brown; head with non-umbilicate punctation;abdominal tergites lacking microsculpture; aedeagal ventral process with round apex in ventral view; dorso-lateral apophyses curved near apex in ventral view, not reaching apex of ventral process.

Description. Body length 5.3–5.7 mm; forebody length 2.8–3.0 mm.

Body ( Fig. 1G View FIGURE 1 ) reddish brown; antennae and legs yellowish brown.

Head ( Fig. 2G View FIGURE 2 ) 1.08–1.09 times as long as wide; punctation moderately dense, very coarse, non-umbilicate and not confluent, interstices lacking microsculpture; postocular portion 2.0–2.2 times as long as eye length.

Pronotum ( Fig. 2G View FIGURE 2 ) 1.06–1.14 times as long as wide, 0.89–0.94 times as long and 0.87–0.91 times as broad as head; punctation non-umbilicate, less dense and as coarse as that of head; midline with short and very narrow impunctate elevation; interstices lacking microsculpture.

Elytra ( Fig. 2G View FIGURE 2 ) 0.63–0.68 times as long as wide, 0.54–0.59 times as long and 0.90–0.97 times as broad as pronotum; punctation similar to that of pronotum; interstices lacking microsculpture.

Abdomen ( Fig. 1G View FIGURE 1 ) with punctation dense and rather coarse on tergites III–IV, dense and less coarse on tergites V–VI, moderately dense and fine on tergites VII–VIII; interstices lacking microsculpture.

Male. Sternite VII ( Fig. 9A View FIGURE 9 ) with posterior margin shallowly emarginated in the middle. Sternite VIII ( Fig. 9B View FIGURE 9 ) with V-shaped posterior excision, with a tuft of dense dark setae near middle. Aedeagus ( Figs 9C–F View FIGURE 9 ) with ventral process long, with round apex in ventral view; dorso-lateral apophyses moderately slender, distinctly curved in ventral view, straight in lateral view, not reaching apex of ventral process.

Distribution and habitat. The species is known only from Yadong County in southern Xizang ( Fig. 10M View FIGURE 10 ). The specimen was collected by sifting leaf litter at an altitude of 3000 m.

Comparative notes. The species is similar to N. penicillatus Assing, 2014 and N. inexcisus Assing 2014 in general appearance, but can be separated by male sternite VII lacking tuft of dense dark setae ( Fig. 9A View FIGURE 9 ), and male sternite VIII with a tuft of dense dark setae near middle ( Fig. 9B View FIGURE 9 ).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the name of the type locality: Yadong.
