Type material. Holotype: CHINA: Yunnan Province: ♂, Dali, Weibao Mountain , 21. vii. 2001, coll. Qiang Sun. Paratypes: 1 ♂, same data as holotype ; 1♀, Yiliang, Xiaoqiao , 29. vii. 2005, coll. Meng Li.
Description. Colour. Yellowish green. Frontoclypeus yellowish. Ocelli yellow. Eyes brown, 2 red stripes in the middle. Forewings yellow green with veins greenish in male, forewings yellow brown and veins greenish in female,. Hind wings hyaline, pale white.
Body. Length, male 7.5 mm to tip of the forewing; female 8.0– 8.5 mm to the tip of forewing, 9.0– 9.5 mm to the end of ovipositor. Male vertex subtriangular, acute apically, declined forward anteriorly; ocellus close to corresponding eye. Female vertex broad, subangular, slightly upturned anteriorly; ocellus distant from eye at 1.2 time its length. Measurements of vertex length: interocular width: pronotal length (mm): male 1.2: 1.5: 1.0, female 1.62: 1.62: 1.0. Pronotum slightly wider than head.
Male genitalia. Subgenital plates with 5 lateral setae. Pygofer side sharply rounded apically. Aedeagus with pair of terminal processes, flattened, curving anteriorly, tapering apically; shaft expanding posteriorly, dorsally ridged; gonopore large.
Female genitalia. Ovipositor extending beyond pygofer 1.2 times its width. Seventh sternum with a small posterior projection in the middle.
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
Etymology. The species name, an adjective, is derived from the Chinese pronunciation of “not thailandensis . ”
Remarks. This species resembles H. thailandensis in having a similar aedeagus, but the latter has the vertex in males rounded and slightly upturned apically, the ocellus separated from the corresponding eye by its own diameter, and a small gonopore located far from the base of the process.
