Reported by De Notaris (1869) for LOM (Carenna, Brumano, Aralatta and Mt. Resegone, sub Lejeunea hamatifolia Dum. ). However, the herbarium specimens (leg. Rota, BER) could not be found. D. hamatifolia is excluded from the liverwort flora of Italy; it is an eu-oceanic species which lives only on the Atlantic coasts of Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland, England, and Macaronesia.
