Taxonomy. The holotype and allotype are inaccessible (IFRI), but we have examined a male paratype from India (NHML), and a male from Vietnam identified by Schedl (HMNH), as well as specimens from China, India, Laos and Vietnam in MNHP, NHMB, NKME, and RAB. The species is easily recognised in both sexes by the asymmetry of the mycangial pores on the pronotum, with a large pore on one side (usually the left), and a smaller pore on the opposite side.
Distribution. China (Hainan, Xizang, Yunnan), India (Assam, Sikkim), Laos, Vietnam.
