REMARKS: Although originally placed in the current concept of the family Tachinidae, Herting (1974: 41)
stated that Moretia is obviously a Calliphoridae . Until a type specimen of the type species is found,
Moretia is best regarded as a nomen dubium in Calliphoridae .
