Type material. Holotype ♀. [ KOREA] [GN], Tonggosan , Uljin-gun, 23 vi 2017 (leg. BS Park, SM Na, DJ Lee), gen. slide no. HNUSEL-5638 -coll. HNUSEL.
Diagnosis. This species shares similarities to the male genitalia of P. gracilis Noreika, 1994 , however it differs in wing pattern. It is distinguished from P. gracilis by a valva widened medially instead of rather narrow in the latter, and a small sized Y-shape saccus with a sharpened termination, as opposed to the blunt termination seen in the latter (See Noreika 1994: fig. 2).
Description. Adult ( Fig. 1b View FIGURE 1 ). Forewing length 2.6 mm. Head covered with creamy ochreous scales; antenna covered with silvery white scales. Thorax covered with shiny grayish brown.
Forewing ground color grayish brown, first fascia rather thick with a blackish slender inner line. Hindwing narrow, grayish brown.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 3b View FIGURE 3 ). Generally elongated and slender. Tegumen narrow, as long as valva, setae densely on apex. Saccus Y-shaped, pointed apex, 1/4 as long as tegumen; apex membranous. Valva expanded towards apex, as long as phallus, slightly curved on apex, center swollen on costal margin; a pair of long setae processes at base extend to 3/4 of valva; short and slender piliform scales along dorsal margin, glabrous on basal, apex pointed and sclerotized strongly; a stout and curved seta on apex. Phallus slender, as long as valva, nearly straight, median part slightly sclerotized and apex bent upward.
Female genitalia. Unknown.
Distribution. Korea (South).
Host plants. Unknown.
Etymology. The specific name of the new species, ‘ daehana ’, is derived from type locality, Korea. An adjective in the nominative singular.
