Costaclis rhyssa : Bartsch (1947: 9, pl. 1, Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ).
Type material. Holotype (herein examined): USNM 108389 About USNM .
Type locality. USA: Florida state: off Fernandina , USFC sta. 2415; 30°44′N, 79°26′W, 805 m; Steamer Albatross col., 01/iv/1885 GoogleMaps .
Material examined. The holotype.
Remarks. Dall (1927) clearly stated that the shell of USNM 108389 is the type specimen. Thus, it should be considered the holotype and the type locality the USFC sta. 2415 (Off Fernandina), as written in the original label. The author also refers to several other specimens from USFC sta. 2668 (Off Georgia).
Bartsch (1947) included the present species in Costaclis , which was not adopted later by Bouchet & Warén (1986). A new combination of the present species in Graphis is proposed here, similarly to the case of Graphis cubana commented above. Graphis rhyssa ( Dall, 1927) comb. nov. also has strong axial ribs but lacks the spiral sculpture.
