Remarks. It is the type species of a group with its own name ( C. scutellaris group sensu Antoine 2006).A key to the species of this group was given by Antoine (2006). Legrand & Malec (2006) provided biological data concerning the breeding association with elephant dung for some other species of Campsiura . Holm & Perissinotto (2010) assigned predatory habits on scale insects for Campsiura (Macroma) cognata (Schaum, 1841) . Serrano et al. (2020) referred the capture of C. angolensis (Kraatz, 1883) on flowers of guavas trees ( Psidium guajava ) in a secondary moist forest. Lumaret & Cambefort (1985) provided the description of larvae for Campsiura (Calocampsiura) trivittata (Moser, 1907) . Biological and ecological data are not available for this species.
