Remarks. This species was identified from Hindubaugh, Zhob River drainage, Pakistan, and listed by Coad (1981: 14 as Noemacheilus (Schistura) pakistanicus ; 2014: 329) as a possible distributed species in Afghanistan, although there is no confirmed record in the country. There is not any direct link to the Zhob River via any waterway. The presence of the species needs clarification.
